Thanksgiving Turkey Deposit (2024)
Our 2024 pasture raised turkey will be the piece de resistance of your Thanksgiving dinner! Using the same practices we apply to our pasture raised chicken year round, we start a small flock of Broad Breasted White poults in July 2024. This docile domestic breed of turkey is known for their tender, juicy meat. They will spend their days foraging for protein rich bugs and consuming a mix of fresh annual and perennial forage from our pastures, with access to a supplemental free-choice feed (Non GMO & soy-free) to ensure they have a well balanced diet.
Our pasture raised turkeys have ranged from 11-30+ pounds in previous years. Priced at $8.99/lb, this deposit reserves your family’s bird & will be deducted from the total per/lb price of the bird when you pick it up. For example, a 16 pound bird @ $8.99 will be $143.84. Less the $85 deposit, the amount due at pick up would be $58.84.
PLEASE NOTE we will do our best to accommodate your request on a FIRST COME ORDER BASIS. NO GUARANTEES can be made as to the exact size of your bird! Our Turkeys are raised naturally therefore size will vary. In years past, they have ranged from 11-30+ pounds. Hens average 11-18 pounds, Toms can average 18-30+ pounds. The tool below may assist you in determining the size bird you prefer, which may be indicated in checkout. As noted above, we cannot guarantee a specific size.
Your bird will be available for pick-up at one of the following locations:
Richland Park Farmers Market Saturday, November 16th, 9:30am - Noon.
East Nashville Farmers Market Tuesday, (either November 12th or 19th-Date To Be Determined), 3:00-6:00pm
Hidden Holler Farms For our local customers, farm pickup is available Wednesday November 13 through Friday November 15
For our Franklin Farmers Market customers, you will need to schedule to pickup from one of the above locations. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we will NOT be able to deliver turkeys to The Factory for pickup during market hours due to the heavy traffic and parking restrictions. This will not be an issue once the market moves to our new location!
